“Music can name the unnameable and communicate the unknowable.”
Leonard Bernstein

It is part of being human to express ideas, worries and emotions. For me, the fact that music works as a universal language is one of its most characteristic features. Where language reaches its limits and becomes incomprehensible – where words remain unspoken - music takes over.

The Bruckner organ at the abbey church of Sankt Florian near Linz (Austria) is not only well known because of Anton Bruckner who was the organist there. Even his successors have been important figures with a big impact on church music in Austria. Due to its unique sound the Bruckner organ is nowadays an important instrument for recordings and a must-see for all organists.

Orgelkunst Ziersdorf mit Selina Ott

September 3rd 2023, 4:00 PM

Ziersdorf is located about 50 kilometers West from Vienna and owns a magnificent organ from Gerhard Grenzing, since 2010. Upon completion of this instrument a wonderful annual festival featuring young musicians has been launched.

I am delighted to be part of this festival together with the fantastic Austrian trumpet player Selina Ott. We will be performing music mainly by Austrian composers such as Alfred Mitterhofer, Thomas Daniel Schlee and Peter Planyavsky.
